From the outside looking in
I can see his patience wearing
I can tell your heart is breaking
By the way your hands are shaking
From the outside looking in
I can see a volcano eruption begging to begin
As the tension is pulled tight
Your heart explodes and lava takes flight
From the outside looking in
I can see the sky now darken
As you pour out your soul
And leave your life in his control
From the outside looking in
I see a love pulled so thin
Glazed over with a shadowed passion
Where there once was color now only ashen

Never
You will never understand my mind
A con-jumbled mess of words intertwined
A war between love and hate
A brutal religious debate
A world gone blind
You will never understand my mind
You will never live my past
These fragment images fleeting fast
A laugh a cry together as one
An ignorant innocence come undone
A race were you come in last
You will never live my past
You will never see through my eyes
How I see the sun rise
With all its magnificent splendor
Stuck to my skin like a miserable splinter
You will never see through my disguise
You will never see through my eyes
A con-jumbled mess of words intertwined
A war between love and hate
A brutal religious debate
A world gone blind
You will never understand my mind
You will never live my past
These fragment images fleeting fast
A laugh a cry together as one
An ignorant innocence come undone
A race were you come in last
You will never live my past
You will never see through my eyes
How I see the sun rise
With all its magnificent splendor
Stuck to my skin like a miserable splinter
You will never see through my disguise
You will never see through my eyes
